Work at Earnest Care
We pay above the minimum, we pay for your travel time, and we give you enough time to do the job properly. That should not be unusual.
Why work here
Paid properly
Above the statutory minimum, with paid travel time between visits. Most of the sector does not do the second part, and it is the reason so many carers effectively earn below minimum wage.
Enough time to do the job
Minimum 30-minute visits, realistic travel windows and rounds planned geographically. You will not be set up to fail.
Funded training
Full induction, the Care Certificate, and funded specialist training - dementia, SEND, safeguarding lead, paediatric first aid, NVQ progression.
Consistent clients
You will get to know the people you support rather than meeting a new one every shift. It is better for them and much better for you.
Real support
A coordinator who answers the phone, proper supervision, and an on-call line that is staffed by someone who can actually make a decision.
Progression that exists
Senior carer, coordinator, deputy manager, registered manager. We promote internally wherever we possibly can.
Roles we recruit for
- Care assistants and senior care assistants - home care
- Live-in carers
- Early years practitioners, Levels 2 and 3
- Room leaders and deputy room leaders
- Nannies and babysitters
- Care coordinators and office team
- Bank and weekend staff
What we look for
Experience helps but is not essential for every role - we train. What we cannot train is patience, warmth, reliability and the instinct to notice when something is not right. If you have those, tell us.
All roles require an enhanced DBS check, the right to work in the UK, and two references. Some roles require a driving licence.
Let's talk about what your family needs
A short, no-pressure conversation is usually all it takes to work out the right kind of support. We will be honest with you if we are not the right fit.
